Апстракт

Andrew Jeremy Wakefield е поранешен истражувач познат по научно истражувачкиот труд објавен во 1998 година во кој тврдеше дека постои поврзаност помеѓу комбинираната вакцина за мали сипаници, заушки и рубеола и појавата на аутизмот и заболувања на цревата. Објавениот труд беше контраверзен и доведе до широк публицитет во Велика Британија. Четири години по објавувањето на трудот, други истражувачи не успеале да ги повторат наодите на Wakefield и да ја потврдат неговата хипотеза. Во 2004 весникот Sunday Times и новинарот Brian Deer спровеле истрага за истражувањето, а во 2010 година петчлениот суд на Главниот медицински совет утврдил дека сомненијата за измама се основани, вклучувајќи четири дела за нечесност и дванаесет дела кои се однесуваат за злоупотреба на деца со пречки во развојот. Во текот на наредните години на овие првични обвиненија биле додадени и нови. Истражувањата насочени кон докажување на измамата продолжуваат и понатаму и се откриваат нови докази против Wakefield.
